Historical Note
Millefiori (Italian for “a thousand flowers”) is a decorative glass technique with much older origins that became particularly associated with Venetian and Murano glassmaking. Its distinctive patterns are created using patterned glass canes that are cut into cross-sections and combined to form colorful mosaic-like compositions.
